This chapter pulls together three perspectives in aging studies: institutional ethnographies; “aging in place” debates; and community network research. It uses the framework of elderscapes to unite these ideas to discuss communities based on mobility in the context of a postmodern construct of late life within the nation’s oldest local zone, Charlotte County, Florida.
