This photo essay by anthropologist, Iveris Martinez and architect, Ebru Ozer in words and images the process of incorporating age-friendly design into a proposed initiative to develop the area under “The Underline,” an area below the Miami Metrorail. The authors developed a collaboration between students from Florida International University and local elders who would likely use the proposed park, urban trail and living art destination.
